Running Up That Hill – North Dakota

SKU: MRNC Categories: ,

Long Exposure Photograph of a North Dakota farmhouse that sits atop a man-made hill, carved away by frac sand testing and mining. Not yet accustomed to the Dakota winds that drop the Fahrenheit into single digits, we acknowledge that this shoot will have to be quick. To find the path of least resistance, we hike the circumference of the scruffy mound and determine that there really is no easy way up. We crawl on hands and knees, rewarded by a most breathtaking view. We flood the old pile of bones with blue light, let the near-full moon do her work, and gave this regal queen one more chance to rule a domain marred by the hands of men. Now, is this her best angle?
