In the Jungle – Two Guns, Arizona
Long exposure photograph of one of southwest Route 66’s most mysterious and notorious locations: Two Guns, Arizona. Architectural ruins dot the dusty landscape known as Diablo Canyon. The abandoned tourist hotspot beckons travelers to venture off the main interstate and ramble along rocky side paths. From the old campgrounds to the roadside zoo to the death cave, dark history resides here. Admittedly, we felt more than just the chill of the October desert night against our back. During setup for this shot Chris heard a very unexpected and unexplainable conversation, clear as day just a few yards behind him. Could it be just a curious passerby that had wandered upon the bright colors from our Protomachines flashlight? Alas, after a swift look around, not a living human soul was to be found. Trust us, even if you’re just a little ‘stitious, don’t pick up any rocks from Two Guns to bring home to your friends.
