Long exposure photograph of an abandoned school in Colmor, New Mexico. After a full night of shooting the ghost town, we were just about settled into our cozy motel bed. Perusing old blog of Colmor photographs, we stumbled upon a gorgeous shot of this single standing wall of the school. Wait, is it still there? How beautiful would that look at night? We whipped off the bed’s comforter, suited up, and grabbed our gear. In just a few minutes, we were back on Hwy 85 headed for that wall. Rounding the corner, we discovered the wall had collapsed since that old photo was taken. Not much left aside from the little curved staircase. But we love the beauty in decay, so we illuminated what we could with our Protomachines flashlight and let the full moon do the rest.
